String Ensemble
Introductory/intermediate high school level - serving primarily 9th and 10th grade students with skills consistent with their years of study. Most students at this level started their instrument in elementary school, enthusiastically participated in their middle school orchestra, may take private lessons (but most do not) and share a love for music making. This intermediate ensemble is often split into multiple classes to allow for smaller class sizes and focus on individual performance issues. They will rehearse together during scheduled cougar time rehearsals and perform together at concerts.
Our Ensembles

Additionally, we encourage our students to try out for some of the other local ensembles. This year (2024-25), we had 8 students make SRO:
Isiah, Ryan, David, and Abigail on violin.
Kerala on viola.
Seungwoo, Jorge, Jake on cello.
Congratulations to those students and best of luck to you!
